Wai, the place located near Mahabaleshwar....
Wai is not as cool as Mahabaleshwar but the temperature is very pleasant. It is easily approachable to villages and cities like Pune, Karhad, Mumbai too.
The place is under development. M.I.D.C. is in the process of development. Hotel industries are exploring the area for the expansion. Citizens are opting for higher education in better places and are coming back to their own place..... to share the knowledge and help the progress. The place has grown in all the directions and acquiring the Brand New face....... still keeping the nature as it was before....
Wai is also known as " Dakshin Kashi" because of the number of temples in the city.Irrespective of the progress and changes this place has gone through.... few things are unchanged.. rather people who come to Wai, adopt the traditions! Wai is also famous for the festival of Krishnabai. River Krishna is prayed in the form of statue every year for almost two months.
